Here's a layout I worked on last night...using quite a bit of my Basic Grey Urban Prairie collection I've been hoarding for months! It feels great using up my stash while I wait for all my CHA09 orders to arrive teehee

Hello Album

Hi Folks,

Just a quick post before I go to bed, here's an album I worked on this past weekend
Papers by: Love, Elsie and of course, bird embellie by MLBOW

I made quite a few of these little birds last night, lots of yellow/blues/pinks and purple ones! Will post them on the Whimsy blog tomorrow after I've taken a few photos

Cheers

CS Reveal and My Very First TOOT!!!!

I have my very first Scrappy Toot to share!!!! Yipeee! The email arrived last night from Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine and they would like to publish three of my layouts!!! One in their Summer Edition and and two in their Volume 4 Edition, both will be available for purchase June 1st! Toot x3! Tee hee!

Here is a layout I worked on last week for the Creative Scrappers Reveal on Sunday, it is based (loosely) on this beautiful sketch by Deb Harter (I strayed quite a bit, so I just went with it)

Cheers!

Finally using my Sassafras Lass Papers!

Have you ever loved a line of papers so much, you hesitate to cut into it??? Well, that's me with Sassafrass...I think I have ALL of their collections (if not, almost all tee hee) and I think I've only ever used them once or maybe twice! February is all about using up the supplies I have, and that includes all my older Sassafras products! Wahooo!

Here is a layout I worked on last week, my Dad and nephew...too cute!

A Recipe Box for my cousin April:

And now for a vintage Fancy Pants Layout, I'm not sure when these papers came out....I'm a huge Fancy Pants collector, so its high time I put them to use! (to make room for all their new products being release this winter/spring of course tee hee)

Cheers,

Steph

For the Love of Shoes....

Here is a Layout I worked on this week using some beautiful October Afternoon papers, Pink Paislee Alphas and of course a My Little Bit of Whimsy Oversized Polka-dot button. The flowers were hand cut and I added a little Distressed Ranger Stickles to give them some pop!

Fleur has always been a very well behaved cat, a bit of a bully weighing in at 25 pounds (He's a Maine Coon) and this is one of his very few quirks (unlike Seymour who has enough quirks for all 5 cats LOL) Fleur loves to nap with my shoes! It always makes me giggle, and so I decided to take some photos.

Cheers,

Steph

LSS Shopping and a Layout!

Kristine and I visited our LSS tonight: Scrapbooking Gone Wild! and I managed to get my hands on the new Snorkel Line from Cosmo Cricket, Stickles, Maya Road Scalloped album, lots and lots of AC Thickers and the lovely Basic Grey package: Marrakesh. Oh how I love getting my scrapbook *fix* tee hee

I'm still trying to use up the supplies I have before I crack open any of the new CHA 09 stuff...here's a layout I worked on last week using the WE R WhiteOut Frenzy collection and WE R Nonsense Rubons.

I've been trying to scrap *outside of the box* lately to no avail...even when I try to do something different, its still the same LOL (see above). I may wander over to Creative Scrappers and try my hand at a few of the sketch challenges, that may help me flex those creative muscles!

Until next time
Cheers,
Steph

Comfort Zone

Here is my Creative Scrappers Reveal for today.... I really struggled with this one, I'm not a fan of circles! I don't know why! LOL Kristine laughs at me all the time, tries to encourage me to use them, but I'm stubborn....I secretly think she chose this sketch for CS Team F on purpose hehehe!
I've noticed recently that most of my layouts are quite similar: Matted photos, off to the left with a one sided layered border of some kind, title to the left! I know that there is no wrong way to scrap, but part of me doesn't want all my pages to look exactly the same LOL Being on a design team that is assigned to work from a sketch really helps break me out of my comfort zone!
Cheers,
Steph

Fancy Pants Scrapbooking!

Here are just a couple pages I've been working on this week using two Fancy Pants paper packs: Laugh Out Loud features papers/diecuts and rubons from their Splendid pack and Peekaboo is from the Daily Grind Collection.

Thanks for dropping by! Dave is here this week, so just a quick post until the weekend :)

Cheers,

Steph
