Scrappy Weekend with Kristine!

Last weekend Kristine surprised me with a lovely visit filled with scrappy time, girl-talk and shopping! It was wonderful and I can't wait until our next scrappy weekend :)
Here are the layouts that I managed to finish while during our scrappy sessions, we even had a couple of "one hour Layout" challenges. These really help keep us focused and not spend so much time overthinking things.

Thanks for visiting and I welcome  your comments!
Cheers,
Steph

LCOM Sketch # 84

Here is my take on Let's Capture Our Memories Sketch # 84 by Charlotte!  I used the latest Sassafras Collection: Smitten (Love it!) and a few Studio Calico butterflies.  Ahhhh this photo was taken on our very last day in Jamaica...what a magical place, I can't wait until our next trip :)

...a few new scrappy layouts

When I got my hands on this beautiful paper collection by Pink Paislee, I automatically dug out our Travel photos...They just scream Island Paradise Getaway to me!  hehe  This is Dave and I in Jamaica last month.....oh how I dream of returning!  What a beautiful place :)

This layout is based on an LCOM sketch by Kristine Davidson...a little contest during the LCOM crop in Moncton last month...you can find the sketch HERE.  All papers by LillyBee Designs

Hope you are having a wonderful day!!

Mixed Media Whimsy Bird!

Here is my latest Mixed Media painting....this little Whimsy Bird is only 4x4!  What a difference going from 16x20/ 11x14 to a canvas this small!  So fun!

Happy Birthday to my Sweetie!!!

Just a little love note to my Sweetie...
I wish I had the words to let you know just how much you mean to me,
saying "I love you" a bazillion times a day isn't enough :)

Wishing you the best Birthday, the best year EVER!
Love you Always

All about the Cats!

Here are a couple of layouts that I completed at the Moncton LCOM crop last month...Look at Seymour sleeping in my paper recycle bin!  tee hee  Its a bucket type container that I keep under my scrappy desk for all of my scraps, and one day he thought it looked quite comfy!  So cute!

Sassafras Collection: Paper Crush and Whimsy pins

I think I may have scrapped this photo before, I just couldn't help using it with the new Crate Paper collection...This is me at around 4years old.  I don't remember the photo being taken, but considering I grew up with dogs, not cats, I always thought this was a bit of foreshadowing of my life ahead...  (I am currently owned by 7 beautiful cats!)

Thanks for visiting!

Mixed Media ~ Owl Canvas

Some of you may have noticed from many of my Whimsy Designs, I have a thing for Owls.....I'm not sure why, I just think they are cute!  So its not surprise that for my next mixed media canvas, instead of another She Art girl, I wanted to try something fun and whimsy-like!

Here is my second canvas, not quite as many layers as my first, but I think this is more "me"!

Happy Mothers day to all the Mom's out there, hope you are all being spoiled rotten!

Thanks for dropping by :)

She Was Happy to be Herself.....She Art Canvas!

Here is my very first She Art Girl canvas!  This is really my first attempt at any form of mixed media and I have to say I LOVED IT!!!!  The layers of paint, ink, rubons and even modeling paste was just a joy to play with...I can't wait to attempt my next canvas!

The She Art Classes given by Christy Thomlinson are so fun, and VERY informative!  I couldn't wait for the classes to finish, I think I began painting my girl in the middle of the second class LOL  (patience is not one of my virtues)  However I'd like to think that it is indicative of the quality of Christy's instructions!  I didn't have any of the smaller 6x12 canvas' on hand, so this girl is a whopping 16x20!

I think I now have the Mixed Media bug (like I needed another hobby!) and although I have ordered a few things from Christy's shop (Punchinella, Pens and some 6x12 canvas') this is a wonderful way to use up my outdated scrappy supplies :)

Thanks for stopping by!
