For those of you who know me....I love birthdays! Especially my own! LOL I make sure everyone knows its my bday, every year....hehe Not for gifts or anything like that, but I grew up in a household where Birthdays were very special.
My mother always considered it a celebration of life, of your place in this beautiful world of ours, and it was never something to be ashamed or embarrassed about! I guess that thinking has really stuck with us, even as I turn 36, I know my Mom will call me at work tomorrow morning to "sing" me happy birthday (since she's almost 3 hours away). She doesn't just sing the first few lines either.....she sings the ENTIRE song! So cute!
We have a busy week ahead of us, so Dave took me out to celebrate tonight...went to the Hamachi Steakhouse downtown Halifax and it was amazing! The entertainment itself was super fun, but the food...oh the food was so delicious. I think I'll remember that fried rice 6 months from now, it was THAT awesome! I can't wait till we go again :)
Here's a layout I worked on this past weekend, to reflect upon my 35th year....almost everything in this layout is Sassafras of course!

Couldn't help myself, used those Maya Road Envies with the attachment on the page rather than the envelope! Love her style!
I bought these super cute lips and moustache on a stick a few weeks ago....Dave and the boys just rolled their eyes when I showed them our latest photo "props"...so I have a feeling we'll only be seeing photos of me and Rohan having fun with them LOL I just love them, I think I want to buy the vampire one next! Hi Folks!
Well, today is our last vacation day....We had such a nice two weeks! The weather was beautiful, our trip to Bangor, Maine successful (much shopping done!) and then relaxed around the house for the second week! I managed to get a nice bit of Whimsy making done, Dave did work around the house....it was nice, not having to "go" anywhere.
We had been tossing around the idea of taking another trip after our trip to Bangor with the boys, but decided not to go anywhere and it was the best decision! Dave and I have been travelling for 4 years Saint John-Halifax (4hr drive) every weekend....and now that I'm finally here in Halifax for good, it was nice to "stay put" for once!
Here are my latest works for Creative Scrappers, Sketches 116 & 118! I just love Kristine's blog...the sketches she chooses and creates herself are always super fun to work with :) 
Can you spot my Whimsy frog prototype? hehe He was my first froggy attempt, and decided not to have him in the shop as he would be difficult to ship without breaking his cute little legs LOL
