Halifax Mojo!

I'm not quite sure what it is...but every time I visit my Sweetie in Halifax lately, I seem to be able to scrap for hours and I end up coming home with a months worth of scrapping!

I just love sitting at the kitchen table scrapping, all the while interacting with Dave and the boys while they get their homework done etc.

Here are the layouts I finished Saturday night! I have one other one, but didn't get a chance to journal on it yet.... Can you tell I tend to bring scraps with a paper collection or two? tee hee (This weekend was Crate Paper's Lemon Grass Collection...love those glitter diecuts!)

Wow! I'm quite a delinquent blogger lately! Where did the month of May go!!! Its difficult to believe June is almost upon us!

I think that most of my Scrappy pre-orders have arrived from Winter CHA 2009 (still waiting of the yummy Sassafras felties though!) and now they are coming out with new things already! I just received the Cosmo Cricket's Early Bird and October Afternoon Cherry Hill in the mail today....wow, these are even more beautiful in real life!

This weekend, my Sweetie and I cleaned out and re-organized my basement! I know, many of you probably are thinking: "Steph, why are you so excited about this?" Well, I love to organize my stuff...doing a clean sweep and starting from scratch is my favorite thing to do, especially with my scrappy supplies! My basement houses my treadmill, my computer, laundry room and my "Crafting" area (scrap, Whimsy shop and painting) and things had been piling up lately.

It began as a project to add a sink in my laundry room and just went from there! (the sink project is ongoing, but it now just need to be plumbed in) Dave re-wired my high speed internet connection so I could move my computer to another area of the basement and then he added some PEGBOARD to my scrappy area! I just lurrve pegboard and must buy more! tee hee (oh, but I lurrrrve Dave more! LOL)

My Sweetie is so supportive of my scrappy addiction...he doesn't understand it, but he supports me 100% LOL He shakes his head in bewilderment when I mention pegboard and my eyes light up a little ha! ha! Once the space is completely organized, I'll share photos :)

A Sweet photo of my beautiful nephew Rohan, I'm finally cutting into my Sassafras Lass stash! I love this line....reminds me of my childhood in the 70's.

Have you discovered Rose Moka papers yet? Here's a layout using one of their lines from last year "Appel De La Nature"...beautiful, heavy, double-sides papers!

I just ordered their three new lines today, I just couldn't resist! Mec, Diva, Pique-Nique Just stunning!!! (and Canadian!)

A few new layouts...

The Whimsy Shop has been hard at work getting ready for the Paws on Scrapbooking crop this weekend, and the Creative Scrappers Crop May 2nd, but I did manage to get a few layouts done last weekend while visiting Dave and the boys (Again, 6 layouts in one day and lots of new buttons, they really help my scrappy mojo! haha!)

Here is one of the cute hedgehogs I made for one of my Customers....I have a few extras and have listed them in the shop

Creative Scrappers Reveal and some Pink Paislee

I got my hands on some of the new Pink Paislee line on Friday, and all I can say is WOW!!! The online photos don't do it justice! To be honest, when I first saw the CHA Winter 09 photos I was a bit hesitant about ordering any of it, it just wasn't what I expected from PP.... and I have to admit, I was pleasantly surprised with the Enchanting line! I think I will order the other lines: Fascinating, Captivating, Fetching (well, maybe not fetching as the next Creative Scrapper kit will include these)

Pink Paislee is one of my favorite manufacturers....and I tend to hoard all their products! (Ask Kristine LOL) I've had the Vintage Moon line for ages now, and I *finally* cut into to last week! Here's a fun layout of Dave's beautiful cat...His boys named her Summer, but I secretly call her Roxy LOL She's such a spunky girl tee hee! Also used for this project: Orchid Template, Paw Prints by Riff Raff Designs

8 Layouts in One Day!!!

It was a super productive scrappy weekend! I still can't believe that I finished 8 entire layouts!!! (no, "wait till laters" that never get finished LOL)

I was in Halifax this weekend and since Dave wasn't feeling well, we stayed in.... I was completely out of my scrappy element, but I finished over a months worth of scrappin'! I sat at the kitchen table and the boys had their music, PS3, TV, Dominos, laptops....so much distraction all around and I loved it!

I also had limited supplied with me, and I think that helped as well....Its amazing how too many supplies can bog you down! (I'm not complaining, just stating a fact LOL)

I'm only posting 7 layouts today, as one of them was for the Creative Scrappers design Team reveal next week :)

Exciting News and a new Layout!

Such wonderful news to share...I've been chosen as a Creative Scrappers DT member for another term! Yahoooooo!!! I love being a part of this wonderful community! You can view the entire list of DT members here....so many talented scrappers, I can't wait for our first reveal :)


I'm a bit late in posting, but here is my take on the Creative Scrappers sketch #44
I blame Lady Gaga for this one...I had just downloaded her album and was listening it for the first time while putting this layout together LOL

Since posting this layout, all my little blue birds have been sold, so I've made a few more! I've listed the blue ones in the shop, and I will add the pink and lavender birdies tomorrow night after I've taken their photos :)

Speaking of photos, I finally bought a point and shoot digi camera this weekend...something tiny enough to fit in my purse for those unexpected, everyday moments shots! My Sweetie bought me a Pentax Digi SLR a couple of years ago for Christmas, and I absolutely love it...but it just isn't practical to carry around all the time. So here's hoping I'm able to capture some fun moments to scrapbook soon! Family and friends, you are all on notice, candid photos will be taken! LOL
