I love butterflies.
Always have.... 20 years ago my best friend Guylaine and I went out and got matching butterfly tattoos (before all the cool kids were doing it I might add! LOL)
Later on.... Dave and I would always described how we feel in "butterflies": When he walks into a room after 7 years and I still get butterflies...I know, its corny but I love that it still happens.
So when Christy Tomlinson posted this beautiful butterfly canvas tutorial, I just had to try my hand at it! I just love how she stamped the butterflies, broke them in two and re glued them, I would have never thought of that!
Here is my version of Butterflies...

Hi folks,
just catching up on a few layouts I made at the Creative Scrappers crop a couple of weekends ago!
As always, such a lovely weekend with my Moncton girls :) I beat my record and completed 12 layouts...here are a few that are ready to be photographed. The others either are for a DT assignment or just need a bit of journaling added!

Hope everyone is having a fabulous Sunday evening!
Our weekend went by too fast (as usual), but I did manage to get some mixed media time in late last night!
I've been taking Junelle Jacobson's class via Scarlet Lime "The Art of Wild Abandonment" and I was inspired to work on a few work in progress canvas' I had sitting in my space for months! Yes, it was midnight when the mood struck, and yes, I'm a bit tired today....but creatively sated for the moment :)
Here is a little sneak of my parrot...he's not finished yet, but I'm really liking how he turned out so far. Even when I don't try to do something cutsie, I just can't help myself! Junelle is inspiring me to create what speaks to me, what I love most....so I'm just going with it and let it happen. (and it feels great!)

Happy Monday Folks,
Here are a few layouts I've made these past few weeks :)
I just got back last night from the Creative Scrappers Sunshine crop, it was so much fun! I broke my record and completed 12 layouts this weekend! Hoping the weather cooperates and I can get outside to take photos of them. Oh how I wish I had a set up like this in the house, especially during the winter months.....Mmmmm I may sneak this link to hubby and see what he thinks LOL
