2011 Art Journal

Happy New Year Folks!
Time to kick off 2011 with a super fun Sassafras project I worked on over the holidays....My very first "pop up" and certainly won't be my last, this was so much fun to make!  I purchased the class from Leila Bentahar HERE  Check out her shop, she is such an inspiration,  I can't wait to take more of her classes, so fun!

Since I'm such a Sass Junkie, I had lots of Me Likey kickin' around, so I was very liberal with my embellishments and paper usage.  Loving this type of book, made with a combo of paper and box board...and that side envelope, just knocks my socks off!  Its been some time since anyone has really done something that makes me sit back and go "ahhhhhhhh, that's such a cool way of doing things!"  Leila's project class does not disappoint!  (I have no affiliation with Leila aside from the fact that I want to be just like her when I grow up.... I just really loved making this book)

Her class was to make a "new born" book, but since I didn't have anyone in mind to give something like this to I thought it would make a super cool art journal.  A place to jot down any notes or projects that I'm thinking of working on :)
