Welcome to our first KIKI ART Design Team Blog Hop... however, we'd like to call it a BLOG HOPSCOTCH!

• When? During National Scrapbook Day weekend.
It will run from Thursday, April 29th until Monday, May 3rd.

• How to play?
You can start wherever you want, however, make sure to visit the blogs of our talented design team members.

Each design team member was asked to select an organization that commits to helping others. Then, they created a project based on their organization featuring Kiki Art products. Make sure to take note of each organization/good cause each DT member has selected.

When you hop from blog to blog, hopefully you will get inspired by all of the beautiful Kiki Art work. We also hope that you are inspired to do good by getting involved in an effort to create a better world through these organizations.

As many of you already know, I love animals and if I could, I'd adopt them all! However, since that is not possible, I wanted to bring to your attention your local animal shelter. Here in Halifax, Nova Scotia, we have a beautiful sanctuary: Bide Awhile Shelter. These wonderful animal shelters take care of those critters who are waiting for their forever home :)

Because my animals are so close to my heart, I thought I would use the Kiki Art Amor Collection and create these cute little super mini photo albums (à la Kathy Thompson Laffoley!) You can add photos of your pets, your kids, or just use them as a little pocket notebook! Leave a comments on this blog posting for your chance to win!

Another Layout!

Here's this weeks layout for the LCOM Scrapivor competition....my scrap space was buried this week from the move, and almost wasn't able to get this one done! Cleared a spot and with 30min to spare managed to get this photographed and uploaded LOL tee hee Scrapping under pressure! The challenge this week was to use the quote "I think your whole life shows on your face and you should be proud of that".

Back to work tomorrow *sigh*....although moving is tough, I'd still rather be home sorting through our things and organizing than go back to work hehehehe

LCOM April DT Work....yes, I'm still kickin' around!

Yes, I'm still kickin' around...its been a VERY long week! We moved all of my belongings from Saint John to Halifax on Monday (for non-locals, that a 4hr drive) and lets just say that once I've calmed a bit, Uhaul is getting a piece of my mind..... What a mess!

So now I'm taking the week to sort through and manage all of our stuff, one never realizes how much CRAP one has until it is stacked in boxes to the ceiling of your living room hehehe

Bonus though, the cats are having a great time, kinda like a jungle gym made of cardboard LOL Oi! I'm tired, I can tell by the babbling ;)

Creative Scrappers Sketch #99

Just a quick note to post my take on the Creative Scrappers Sketch #99 I loved working with this sketch + my Sassafras Me Likey collection....lost of fussy cutting on this layout, all those little pieces of fruit and critters were hand cut and added with popdots for dimension :)

Week 2 of LCOM's "Scrapivor"!

Here's my layout for week 2 @ LCOM! The Scrapivor challenge this week was to be inspired by these cute little wildlife animal figures....so naturally I had to use my new Sassafras Apple Jack papers! Wahoooo!

Oh my heavens, I received SO MUCH Sassafras this week, it was just like Christmas! All my new Sass arrived from LCOM as well as my Warehouse boxes I ordered directly from Sassafras (they offer this super cool discount every year)...Its like those penny candy "grab bags" that we used to get as kids.....you just never knew what you were going to get LOL Needless to say, I love every single piece that we in the parcel (thank goodness since I ordered 2 of them LOL)

Well, I'm off to visit the family in New Brunswick tomorrow! Evan's decided to join me (Dave's youngest son), so we should have a fun little road trip :)

Layout & CS Blog Bounce Winner Announced!

Here's a new layout I did yesterday...just for fun, no sketch, no challenge, just me and a few pieces of paper and lots of cute embellies! This is my friend Elaine...she's such an outdoorsy girl! When she speaks of her camping adventures or her geocaching finds her face just lights up! I often say to her "I don't understand it, but I support you"....(this is what Dave tells me about my scrapbooking hobby hehehe)

I used some of my older stash for the misting....I dug out my Fancy Pants Clear cuts! They are perfect for masking, and they have the coolest shapes! I've had these in my stash for years and never really knew what to do with them, but after Sunday's "Ah ha!" moment, I have so many ideas swirling around now ;)
