Its a Bird! Its a Plane! No, its a Princess!

I was just looking at the last post on the blog and near fell over when I saw the date!  Oh my word, I don't think I've ever gone this long without any posts at all...and even worse, that shows you how long its been since I SCRAPPED!  No wonder I'm stressed!  LOL

Without boring you with the details of my day to day life, lets just say these past few weeks have been very challenging for me on the work front.  To the point that I would be so mentally exhausted from the day, that it would take 2 hours in front of the tv just to get myself out of the "work" zone....Suffice to say, this means there hasn't been much time for the fun stuff in life like scrapbooking and making my Whimsies :)

Its getting better though, and I did get some scrappy time this weekend to finish my layout for Creative Scrappers' reveal!

Here is one of my favorite sets of photos of us when we were kids; this was for a costume contest one summer in Victoria Park (Moncton, NB).  I just love the 80's style princess costumes and my cousins in their superheroes outfits...hilarious.  I'm going to post this photo on Facebook right now and tag them hehehe (<-evil laugh)

Paper Poppy Layouts and Mini Album!

This kit from the Paper Poppy was so wonderful! I was able to finish three layouts and a mini album and STILL had some leftovers for cards! (haven't had the time to make said cards, but the kit package is still on my scrappy desk!)

Guest DT This week at the Paper Poppy Kit Club!

When Aphra emailed me a few weeks ago asking if I would guest DT for her fab kit club, I YELLED (via email) YES! YES! YES! and then did a little dance :)

Her kits are super fab and this November's kit was no exception! Love every bit of it!  Combination of Bella Blvd and Jillibean Soup papers, Basic Grey felties and lots of other yummies!  I made three layouts and a mini album, with lots left over to make cards this weekend if I have time :)

Sassafras Hello Mini Album

I have no idea what photos I'll add to the album yet...but isn't that always the way?  I love making the albums...just never seem to get around to adding the photos LOL

LCOM Crop Layouts!

Hi Folks!

The sun decided to come out today (yay!) so I was finally able to take some photos of the layouts I worked on during the fabulous LCOM crop in Saint John last weekend.  Kristine and I scrapped from 10am until 2am!  Can you believe it?!?  So much fun and I got lots done!  The space is super comfortable...great table, great lighting and unlike many scrappy venues....the room temperature was great (very important when you are scrapping for so long!) I'm already looking forward to the next one in January :)

Our Freak Lunchbox Date

Whenever we are downtown Halifax, Dave and I love to visit the Freak Lunchbox....its the BEST candy store ever!  It has all the candy we had growing up....and some funny novelties!

Creative Scrappers Sketch 129

Here is my latest layout for Creative Scrappers!  I love Rohan and his Dino Roar!  He is always running around "roaring" at us...and  he was a dinoseaur for Hallaoween last week, so I'll be scrapping those soon I imagine :)

And here is the awesome sketch!  Give it a try, I loved working with it...inspired me to keep things "clean" for a change!  LOL

.....This is what I've been up to!

OK, so I haven't scrapped in what seems like AGES!  Yikes!  The Whimsy shop has been busy, but also...I have discovered a new craft that I LOVE!  Lampwork Glass Beadmaking!

My classes are every Wednesday night...and here are the Beads that I made during my Beginner Class

(I haven't cleaned the bead release from the holes yet)

Doesn't that look like fun?  If you are in the Halifax area, new classes begin in February at the NSCCD and I plan on signing up again just for the torch time hehe

Sunday Night...Oh what a weekend!

Wow! I can't believe its Sunday already! A bit of a whirlwind of a weekend! We had Dave's 25th Year Anniversary with the company Friday night, what a blast! Computer ordering (for me!) and art supply shopping downtown on Saturday afternoon after we checked out of the hotel (yup, they go all out for this milestone).

And this afternoon Dave and I went to see the musical Spamalot, it was wonderful! After the play we went for a nice Sunday drive to Saint Margarets Bay for some Cricut supplies...it just happens to be one of the most beautiful places around here, the fact that I can shop for scrappy supplies is a bonus tee hee

A few things I've been working on...

Hi Folks!
Just a few things I've been working on this past week or so, I just haven't had the opportunity to update my blog :)

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving! Dave and I had a lovely dinner this afternoon, festivities remain low-key as I'm on call this week and have to be available on a moment's notice to work 24/7. Yes, I'm already wishing my week to be over and it hasn't even begun! LOL

Here's something I worked on today, love love love this paper collection by Sassafras, Mix and Mend designed by one of my favorite scrappers Michelle Clement! Tanya (from LCOM) ordered the entire release in triplicate for me...and held it hostage for a few days I might add, taunting me with photos...see below! She is hilarious!

The running joke is that until shipment to me, Tanya takes very good care of my Sass...LOL

Here's my latest Creative Scrappers layout, Sketch 125!  Wow, can't believe its been 125 sketches already!  What a milestone, congrats to Kristine for making is so fabulous!
