Creative Scrapper #110

Here is my latest at Creative Scrappers! This is by far my most FAVORITE Sassafras line....Happy Place....an oldie but a goodie! I never tire of their stuff...ever LOL I keep thinking they must have some secret ingredient in the paper that makes me go bonkers for it hee hee

This weeks CS sketch was awesome! (check out their sketch download doc and have fun creating!) Isn't my Sweetie handsome? *swoon* he makes my heart flutter!

Scrap Yourself Reveal! My House

This week's challenge was at Scrap Yourself was "How does your home reflect you?" Well, I just HAD to scrap some photos of my townhouse in Saint John...The crazy colors just made me happy as soon as I walked in the door! Loved it!

I bought the house and decorated when I was single, and so it truly was a reflection of myself at the time (2005) These are all of my favorite colors...Not only did I have them on the walls of my house, but in my wardrobe and jewellery! I've always loved to surround myself with color :)

Before I could sell the house last fall, I had to paint everything beige....It was so bizarre living in a beige world LOL Moving into my new house here in Halifax...Dave was very accommodating of my colorful tastes (ie lime green kitchen, purple bedroom, hot pink bathroom and turquoise basement...he truly loves me! hehe)

Cap-Pele Weekend

***Warning, photoheavy post!***

A few of you have wondered about Cap-Pelé, so I thought I'd post a little weekend snippit :)

My parents retired here a few years back, a lovely place that is so peaceful and relaxing. Located on the coast of New Brunswick (Northumberland Straight) we can see the province of PEI from our beach. (here is a map for non-locals)

Dave, Evan and I arrived in Cap-Pelé early Saturday evening...but that didn't stop us from getting some beach time in!



(my point and shoot camera really doesn't do this sunset justice)

Rohan is definately a beach boy...I anticipate that my sister will be all the time as Rohan constantly wants to "Go to Beeeeeech"!

Here is there lovely place... such a beautiful spot! The weather on Sunday was just fantastic...it was 30C and didn't start raining until we were packing the car up to leave :)

Here's my mom with our cutie-pie...if we don't carry him, he'll run right back to the beach!

Its been a long day, Rohan follows Evan around the entire time we visit....so he deserves a little nap on the way home (2½ hour drive)

My reading material for the car trip....and look what I found! I was so pleased, one of my bird pins was in a layout for the French Mag "Histoire de Pages" VERY cool!!!!

Just Because....

Dave, Evan and I are heading to New Brunswick to wish my Dad a special father's day :)

Always Remember the Joy: This was the second layout for Céline's class...I'm not a big circle fan so this was really difficult for me, but I like the look! Check out my "fake" stitching! hehe
I've always loved this photo of my sister Sally and I....the look on my face, I can tell I was probably having a really good belly laugh LOL

And here is a fun layout of Dave and I...just because :) Its nice to scrapbook without a deadline, product or sketch in mind...just wingin' it and I love it!

What's with all the yellow these days? I'm not sure, but I think its one of my new fav colors (I always hated it before, and now I can't get enough LOL Go figure ;) Dave always teases me about the "Yeah, I like green peppers I just don't *feel* like having them right now", its about how I feel at the moment tee hee

My Cat Bronte

Here are some layouts I did in January, I don't think I ever posted them online! I think these were the beginning of my Glimmer Mist obsession LOL

I love that photo of me and my girl Bronte...she is such a treasure. She's been my constant companion for over 13years, never far from my side. Many of my cats know their names when we call them...but not her! She's always within arms reach so I've never really HAD to get her attention LOL

She's quite taken with Dave's youngest son Evan (10yrs old)...its so cute to see him try and play video games with her sprawled on his lap hehehe

Its almost Friday! Yay!

Week One of Celine Nevarro's online Class!

Here's my cutie Fleur (aka Mr. Flowers) who just received a clean bill of health this month. At a wopping 1o years old and 18 pounds...that was great news!

I'm so thrilled to be a part of the Creative Scrappers Design Team for another term! Love Kristine and love love love her sketches! They are always so inspiring :)

Here is my take on Sketch 108, c'mon over to the CS Blog and check out what the other super fab designers did with this sketch! Absolutely jaw dropping!

I've been going through my stash lately, trying to use up some of the papers and embellies I've been hoarding for the last year (sometimes more!) Yikes! I'm sure there are others out there like me who must have 2 of each fav things LOL My Sassafras stash is getting OUT of CONTROL! October Afternoon isn't far behind hehehe So with this layout, I used OA Night light collection, those monsters are too cute! (and of course, a MLBOW heart pin!)

Oh! The Places You'll Go! Scrap Yourself Reveal

Here is my take on this week's Scrap Yourself Challenge (chosen by MOI!)


Paris was a fascinating place to visit, but we were only there for one day....we went by everything so fast it was difficult to take everything in! Imagine, only 45min spent in the Louvre?!? Seriously, "zipping" by the Mona Lisa and Venus De Milo was heartbreaking....both Dave and I wanted to stay longer!

This trip really showed us that it is much better to travel with our own agenda, and not someone else's. Guided tours are great if your time is limited and you want to take in lots of sights....but be warned, some things just aren't meant to be rushed.

My first Kiki-Art Blog post!

It was my turn to post over at the Kiki-Art Blog! Here is my layout using the Jardin paper collection and the super fun glittered chipboard hearts (love these!)

Here is my oldest cat Seymour....13 years old and you'd never know it the way he leaps all over the house! He's such a sweet boy, so even tempered and lovable....he doesn't discriminate: everyone who visits gets head butts from him! (this is his way of asking for cuddles hehe)

Just a few layouts I've been working on lately... Trying to use up some of my older stash of Cosmo Cricket's "Girl Friday" its one of my fav CS lines EVER! They were perfect for my "Whimsy" layout, those color combos just make me smile :) I would love to get some of the fabbie they made of this line, anyone know any Canadian stores I can purchase them from? Imagine a quilt in this fabbie...swoon!
