8 Layouts in One Day!!!

It was a super productive scrappy weekend! I still can't believe that I finished 8 entire layouts!!! (no, "wait till laters" that never get finished LOL)

I was in Halifax this weekend and since Dave wasn't feeling well, we stayed in.... I was completely out of my scrappy element, but I finished over a months worth of scrappin'! I sat at the kitchen table and the boys had their music, PS3, TV, Dominos, laptops....so much distraction all around and I loved it!

I also had limited supplied with me, and I think that helped as well....Its amazing how too many supplies can bog you down! (I'm not complaining, just stating a fact LOL)

I'm only posting 7 layouts today, as one of them was for the Creative Scrappers design Team reveal next week :)
I haven't had a chance to pick a winner for the Whimsy Blog RAK, so you still have time to add a comment
Cheers,
Steph

Exciting News and a new Layout!

Such wonderful news to share...I've been chosen as a Creative Scrappers DT member for another term! Yahoooooo!!! I love being a part of this wonderful community! You can view the entire list of DT members here....so many talented scrappers, I can't wait for our first reveal :)

I'm a bit late in posting, but here is my take on the Creative Scrappers sketch #44
I blame Lady Gaga for this one...I had just downloaded her album and was listening it for the first time while putting this layout together LOL

The sketch is by Cherie Avrill

Since posting this layout, all my little blue birds have been sold, so I've made a few more! I've listed the blue ones in the shop, and I will add the pink and lavender birdies tomorrow night after I've taken their photos :)

Speaking of photos, I finally bought a point and shoot digi camera this weekend...something tiny enough to fit in my purse for those unexpected, everyday moments shots! My Sweetie bought me a Pentax Digi SLR a couple of years ago for Christmas, and I absolutely love it...but it just isn't practical to carry around all the time. So here's hoping I'm able to capture some fun moments to scrapbook soon! Family and friends, you are all on notice, candid photos will be taken! LOL

Take care!
Stephanie

Finally! An update!

I almost fell off the Blogger radar for some of you! My apologies, I just haven't had much scrappy news to share lately....until now!

Here's a layout I worked on last week, the first of many I imagine, of my beautiful sister Sally's wedding in 2006

I was busy with the shop last weekend, making so many cute critters and funky flowers! Here are a few photos, please take a peek in the shop for even more of a selection :)

Steph

Just a quick post of my take on Sketch # 42 by Jodie Kautzner.....Rohan helping my Dad getting the elderberries ready for winemaking LOL You can't tell online, but Rohan is just covered in berry juice! Such a Cutie! Fancy Pants papers, felt, diecuts "About a Boy", Alphas by AC and RoseMoka and of course a big My Little Bit of Whimsy button!
and here is the sketch I worked from, loved it!

Steph

More Basic Grey: Urban Prairie and a Toot!

Wow, I can't believe I've been hoarding this product line for so long without using it! Loving the girly factor here, although I had to dig out some family oldies dating back to 1979 to scrap! LOL I'm surrounded by boys it seems, Dave's boys, my nephew Rohan and my three best friends all had their first babies last year...you guessed it! All Boys! So every now and then I like to break out of the brown, orange and green and add some pink to the mix!

Basic Grey: Urban Prairie papers, Fancy Pants felt, Creative Café Tag, Sassafras Lass paper flowers, Rose Moka and AC Thickers Alphas, Hambly Rubons and of course, Blossom Tree by My Little Bit of Whimsy! I used the "bubblewrap technique on the background cardstock, this was lots of fun!

Since I'm new to the Basic Grey world, I decided to send the layout of Brontë from my previous posting to their gallery, and I received an email from them very next day! Yay! You can view it here....I will have to be careful going forward though, and remember not to write the technique descriptions in the application form when I'm half asleep! LOL

Kristine has enabled me, ...again. She received this magazine in the mail, check it out! I love what the French call "FreeStyle" scrapping!

Also, if you haven't already, please take a peek at the talented Whimsy DT member Amanda Muirhead's first posting on the Daisie Diaries! Amanda, I am in awe of your work!

Until next time!

Steph
